I really think having a half hour nap followed by 20 minutes of meditation has really helped my focus to prepare for Jujitsu training.
Today we started with standing guard pass prevention.
- Block the knees with your hands.
- Feet to their hips and
- grab their ankles for a triangle sweep.
really interesting and relevant, I’ll have to drill that a bunch.
Then free training. I trained foot lock prevention.
- Curl the toes back
- straighten the leg and shoot the leg through
- close the distance on them to prevent them from finishing the sub.
Then I trained *insert name…?* from side control
- from side control maintain control of them by laying on them.
- keep weight back and get an overhook/cross face
- with free hand pin their arm to the ground next to their head. Focusing on pinning the arm down with weight back to avoid a sweep
- put both hands on their arm, release first gripping hand and slide it under their bicep to lock onto my wrist.
- rotate their arm away from them while pulling their elbow down – keeping their hand in reasonably close.
it’s a start.
